Welcome to my Website!
My name is Egor, and I am a 2nd-year PhD student at the University of Macerata, enrolled in the “Quantitative Methods in Economics” program. I aim to pursue a career as a social media data analyst focusing on online misinformation and public opinion.
My PhD Thesis is dedicated to the topic of definition, quantification, and analysis of economic misinformation.
I strongly value a multidisciplinary and open-minded approach to research. For this reason, I actively learn from diverse cultural and academic environments.
Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a versatile skill set, shaped by my studies and work at four European universities: Macerata, Potsdam, Moscow & Saint Petersburg. In addition, I have participated in short-term projects and conferences across several research centers, including Rome, Naples, Passau, Venice, Rende, Mitilini, Graz, and Vienna.
Each of these experiences has contributed to the advancement of my research profile and the refinement of my academic interests. Building on a strong foundation in text analysis, policy analysis, international relations, democratic systems, quantitative methods, discourse analysis, and machine learning, I am well-prepared to contribute to cutting-edge research in economics and social media studies.
This foundation is further strengthened by my strong linguistic skills (proficiency in English, German & Italian, native Russian speaker), advanced programming knowledge (Python, R, MatLab), and experience with different task-related tools, such as Stata, QGIS, LaTeX, Gephi, NodeXL).
To conclude, I seek to integrate my methodological expertise in R, regression analysis, SNA, and NLP with my international and multidisciplinary background to advance research on social media dynamics and misinformation as a data analyst.
